Daily Face

Thought I'd do something a bit different. I haven't got a giant collection but I do switch it up from time to time. So I thought that maybe when I do I'll tell you. So my first one is this.
I wanted a lighter glowy base, groomed brows and curly lashes, plus it was time to properly try out my new MAC purchase mineralize blusher in Warm Soul, which I love.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation No. 54, Maybelline The Eraser in Light, Soap&Glory 'One Heck of a Blot', Soap&Glory Archery in Brownie Points, Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium, L'oreal Telescopic Waterproof in Black, Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder in 04, MAC Warm Soul and Benefit Watt's Up.

New Discovery: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

So admittedly I haven't tried the infamous Bioderma offering so I can't really compare, but,  I guess there's some of you out there in the same boat, am I right? From the hype around Bioderma, micellar waters are supposed to feel just like water on the skin but with a little bit more to it. The idea is to soak a cotton pad with it and then sweep it over your face in an attempt to remove the majority of your makeup.

Garnier's version does exactly that! It's taken the place of my old cleansing lotion and has become the first step to my night-time cleansing routine and it's brilliant. It's not drying, or strange smelling, just a gentle liquid to remove day-old foundation, blusher etc. It's definitely one to try out if you're on the market for something new and  at a hefty 400ml it'll last a while. I can't guarantee that it can last 200 uses...could be more, but all I'm saying is try it and you won't regret it.

It's been a while!

Hello!
I've been M.I.A for a while, as uni is coming to an end and deadlines are looming I thought I might take a break from essay writing and tell you about a little secret I have...

Nails Inc. Caviar Topcoat! It's my little secret to fooling everyone that I've got a gel manicure *wink wink*
This little thing sorts out a dodgy polish job I can promise you that. It smooths over any mistakes and transforms your fingernails into glossy talons.

Okay so maybe not talons, but the finish is just perfect and it also speeds up the drying process, win win!

I definitely recommend this to absolutely everyone.

Take care!

Two Little Saviours

If you're suffering from chapped lips Elizabeth Arden's Intensive Lip Repair Balm is ideal. Yes it's a tad on the pricey side at £20 but this works almost immediately.
Last year I stole my mum's tube of the original EL 8 hour Cream and used it solely on my lips so this little tub is perfect for me.
The texture is thick so a little goes a long way. They suggest to layer it up before bed but I use this throughout the day and it still works it's magic.
The only heads up is that it smells like the original stuff but if you can get over it I totally recommend this balm.

My final rave is about the Soap&Glory Dr. Spot. I bought this in a spot busting emergency and although I'm sure there is plenty better out there, this little guy has really helped me out.
I continue to use this as an on-the-spot treatment but daily after using a toner. That way I find I can attack the little blighters straightway as they pop up and it seems to be working a treat! I haven't stopped using this since I bought it and it's now a trusty little addition to my skincare regime.
Will I repurchase? Probably, but not straight away, Origins is up next, but I know to come back to this one if all else fails.

Happy new year!
